PIVOT STEER LIFT TRUCK (BENDI/FLEXI TRAINING)

AITT and In-House certificates

Pivot Steer Lift Truck (Flexi/Bendi) Training Course

Accredited Operator Training | Narrow Aisle Specialist | Certified Workplace Compliance

Course Overview:

Our Pivot Steer Lift Truck Training Course (commonly known as Flexi or Bendi truck training) is specifically designed to prepare operators for the unique handling requirements of these specialist trucks. The course provides all the knowledge and practical skills needed to operate pivot steer trucks safely, confidently, and in full compliance with UK Health & Safety regulations.

Pivot steer lift trucks are designed to work in very narrow aisles, combining the manoeuvrability of a reach truck with the stacking ability of a counterbalance. Their articulated mast allows the operator to turn and place loads without turning the entire truck — increasing storage capacity and reducing handling times. However, this unique functionality requires specific training for safe and efficient use.

Who Is This Course For?

  • Novice Operators: With little to no previous experience.
  • Experienced Operators: Seeking formal certification or transitioning to pivot steer equipment.
  • Refresher Candidates: Needing to renew expired training.
  • Employers: Requiring trained staff for narrow aisle or high-density storage operations.

Course Content:

Theory Training:

  • Introduction to pivot steer trucks (Flexi/Bendi)
  • Advantages and operational uses in narrow-aisle environments
  • Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 overview
  • PUWER & LOLER regulations explained
